In Reims, there is no shortage of opportunities to get away from it all. During you stay at the Domaine Château Faucon, we suggest that you set out to discover this rich and varied city:
Notre-Dame Cathedral, Palace of Tau, Place Royale, Saint-Rémi Basilica, Saint-Rémi Abbey-Museum, Foujita Chapel, Carnegie Library, Reims-Champagne Automobile Museum, Museum of the Surrender, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Champagne Wineries, Pompelle Fort Museum 5 km away, are just some of the sites that will not fail to stimulate your imagination.
Not far away, visit some Champagne wineries. The winemakers will be pleased to welcome you and offer you the chance to savour their precious nectar. And, to round off the day in style, sample a Biscuit Rose (pink biscuit) which can be found in a variety of dishes, and always tastes delicious.
1 hour and 30 mins from Paris by TGV high-speed train, Metz will never cease to amaze you with its varied architectural heritage, ochre-coloured facades and extremely popular Pompidou-Metz Centre. A human-sized city, it also offers many parks and lakes.
To visit: Saint-Étienne of Metz Cathedral, Pompidou-Metz Centre, Knights Templar Chapel, Metz railway station, Metz Central Post Office, Governor's Palace, Place de la Comédie, Porte des Allemands, Temple Neuf
Between Champagne and Lorraine, Sainte-Ménehould welcomes you in a luxuriant environment and leads you along the trail of an exceptional heritage. History has made its mark in this city, the place where the fleeing Louis XVI was spotted just before he was arrested in Varennes. It should be noted that the city is next to the sites of the Battle of Valmy and the fighting in Argonne during the First World War.
